Gibbs-White piles on the misery for sorry Spurs
-
MORGAN GIBBS-WHITE batted away any suggestions it was fate he would score against Tottenham - but deep down the home fans knew it would happen.
Even as they lined the streets outside the Tottenham Stadium in a show of unity before kick-off, they would have feared the worst.
They had already seen Eberechi Eze turn Spurs down to join rivals Arsenal, then rip them apart in two North London derbies.
So Gibbs-White scoring Forest's killer second goal - eight months after snubbing a move to N17 was just the latest Spursy moment in the most Spursy season ever.
Igor Jesus' 45th-minute header gave Vitor Pereira's team a precious half-time lead.
Then after Gibbs-White followed the script, sub Taiwo Awoniyi sent home supporters heading for the exits when he tapped in with three minutes left.
