THOUSANDS of getaways were ruined when the Channel Tunnel was shut for hours by a power supply problem and a failed train.
Eurostar told passengers to re-book for a different date and avoid London St Pancras station if their train's cancellation was confirmed. Trains were running again later in the day but there were still significant delays and cancellations last night.
