Stop the hatred fuelling these obscene attacks

THE bloodshed that erupted on Bondi Beach was an unspeakable act of racially aggravated terrorism which has rightly drawn condemnation from across the world.

It also marks the latest chapter in a deeply disturbing and predictable rise in contemptuous antisemitic hate which is now commonplace.

Vicious anti-Jewish hatred has existed since the unimaginable horrors of the Holocaust were exposed to the world 80 years ago and it reared its ugly head again in the aftermath of the Israel-Hamas war which erupted after the October 7 massacre in 2023.
