Miley hails his Toon influencers

LEWIS MILEY is confident he will only get better at Newcastle the longer he gets to play alongside stars such as Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali.

The unlikely trio of the Geordie boy, the Brazil ace and the Italy superstar could prove to be head coach Eddie Howes best midfield trio this season.

For now, though, Miley is doing a more than able job at right-back. Despite having extra defensive duties against Fulham, Miley popped up with the winner in the Carabao Cup quarterfinal and could now be tasked with looking after the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Cole Palmer when Chelsea come to St James’ Park tomorrow.
