Sir David's gift to Mother Nature

THIS mother lynx cuddles up to one of her kittens in Sir David Attenborough’s new BBC One series Parenthood, which he devotes to the deep bond between wildlife and their young.

Filmed over three years across 23 countries in six continents, the five-part documentary contains stories about animal behaviour, highlighting the heartwarming dedication, astonishing ingenuity and remarkable patience of animal parents across the natural world.

Among the rarest creatures featured is the Iberian lynx, once close to extinction. In a poignant scene filmed in southern Spain, a mother lynx is shown raising her kittens in a disused barn, now home to three generations of the species.
