'Sick benefits £2.5k more than wages'

PEOPLE on benefits can get £2,500 more per year than a worker on the national living wage, a leading think tank has warned.
A universal credit claimant who gets a Personal Independence Payment for ill-health and help towards housing costs would receive around £25,000 in 2026-7, The Centre for Social Justice has calculated.
In contrast, a full-time worker on the National Living Wage is expected to earn £22,500.
