Sensational Saffron Walden crowned best place to live

THE best place to live in the UK is Saffron Walden, according to an annual guide.

With “knockout” historical buildings and a market comparing well with those in southern France, the Essex town tops a list of 72 locations published online yesterday.

Judges visited all the sites, from villages to cities, to rank schools, transport, broadband speeds, mobile signals, culture, green spaces and the prosperity of the high street.
