Amorim aware his job is on line if United can't turn form around

RUBEN AMORIM has admitted he will be sacked by Manchester United if he cannot improve the team's results.

The Portuguese is facing a must-win game against Sunderland at Old Trafford today, after presiding over United's worst start in the Premier League, with just seven points from six games.

And under-pressure Amorim admitted he has to start winning games, otherwise the club will have no other option but to sack him and his coaching staff after less than a year in charge.

"Nobody here is naive," the United head coach said. "We understand that we need results to continue the project.
