Root urging a repeat of 2019 title charge

JOE KNOWS BEING ON THE BRINK CAN BE LIBERATING
THAT World Cup final feeling has come early for England, who must win every game to stay alive in the tournament.
And Joe Root believes that is the catalyst the title holders need, to avoid coughing up their crown with a whimper.
It was hardly plain sailing for the team of 2019 either because they had to win their last four matches to lift the trophy.
The fact they did so is now part of the motivation against former coach Chris Silverwood and his Sri Lanka side on Thursday.
"This is our World Cup final," said Root. "Then we move onto the next one and that becomes our World Cup final.
