Reunited at last...freed pensioner finally able to visit his wife's grave

NINETEEN months after he ended the long suffering of his terminally ill wife, David Hunter is finally reunited with childhood sweetheart Janice.

Walking slowly into the cemetery clutching flowers for his love, David, 76, scoured the grounds for her name.

Yesterday was the first time he had been able to visit her grave.

The British expat was released from custody on Monday. He has been unable to visit the grave as he was taken to hospital straight after Janice's death following a failed suicide attempt, then taken into custody and charged with her murder.

When he spotted where Janice is lying he walked slowly to her, before taking a knee and bowing his head in the baking heat of Tremithousa, the Cypriot village where he lived with his wife of 52 years.
