Leader Farage hails 'milestone' as Labour suffers slump in members

REFORM UK has officially overtaken Labour to become the party with the most members in British politics, figures revealed yesterday.

Nigel Farage's buoyant party now has a membership of 268,703 and growing, tracked by a public counter.

And while Labour's membership figures have been a closely guarded secret for months, leaked internal figures reveal it has now fallen behind Reform's rapidly increasing number of signed-up paying supporters.

Labour's membership has collapsed since Sir Keir Starmer triumphed in last year's general election.

In all, the party has shed 100,000 members, leaving it with just 250,000 in total now.

Celebrating

It means its paid-up supporters have now halved since Sir Keir won the contest to lead the party in 2020, from a high of more than half a million under Jeremy Corbyn.

Reform UK overtook the Tories' membership on Boxing Day last year.

The Conservative Party had 123,000 members at the time but may have substantially fewer today.
