Raducanu's feat now on Yastremska radar

UKRAINIAN Dayana Yastremska is on a "mission" for her embattled homeland after storming to within two wins of emulating Emma Raducanu.

Yastremska became only the second qualifier to reach the Australian Open semi-finals in the Open era when she beat Czech teenager Linda Noskova 6-3 6-4.

The 23-year-old, who wore a blue and yellow dress, wrote on a courtside TV camera: "I'm proud of our fighting people from Ukraine".

World No.93 Yastremska, who will meet China's Qinwen Zheng today, added: "The fighters really Ukrainian deserve huge respect.
