Princess and the prisoner mothers
Daily Express
|February 12, 2025
THE Princess of Wales yesterday met prisoners in a jail's mother and baby unit as she continues her gradual return to work after cancer treatment.
Kate was visiting HMP Styal's MBU in Cheshire which is run by Action for Children, a charity of which she is patron. It was her fifth public engagement in just over two weeks.
Kensington Palace said she intended "to highlight the importance of strong, loving and consistent mother and baby relationships to a child's development, even in the most challenging of environments".
