BRUNO FERNANDES has been hailed as Manchester United's ultimate winner by Nuno Espirito Santo.

Nottingham Forest's new Portuguese head coach saluted his compatriot ahead of this evening's clash at the City Ground, claiming he is the competitive warrior in Erik ten Hag's dressing room.

Fernandes has the captain's armband at Old Trafford but Nuno says that the playmaker does not receive the credit he deserves.

He also believes fellow professionals should look to take a lead from how the 29-year-old sets himself up to succeed.

Nuno said: "I have a big admiration for Bruno Fernandes he's a big player, a special player.

"He's definitely one of the best players in the Premier League. He's so competitive.

"Maybe some of the guys in the media criticise him, but being is competitive inside the game something I think all professionals should have.

"It doesn't mean you can ignore winning, drawing and losing.
