Police investigating Strictly drug claims

'Other allegations' also being looked into by Met officers

POLICE have been brought in to investigate the scandal-hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing.

They were reportedly alerted after lawyers began an inquiry into complaints, including claims that two stars used cocaine. The Met are reportedly also investigating other allegations.

The force said: “On Monday, August 4 the Metropolitan Police received a third-party allegation. The police investigation is in its early stages. No arrests have been made.”

The BBC declined to comment on any police probe, but a spokesman said previously: “We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised.
