Police cash boost 'less than forces' rising NI'

LABOUR'S funding boost for police is less than the £118million National Insurance hike hitting force chiefs, Kemi Badenoch has warned.

The Conservative leader said Sir Keir Starmer’s £100million spend on 13,000 new officers by 2029 was only £7,000 a head.

Speaking during a local election campaign visit in Lancashire, Mrs Badenoch said: "I was really surprised that they made such a big announcement, given this is a reannouncement from January.
