Pint price nearly doubles over 15 years
Daily Express
|August 31, 2023
THE unhoppy effects of soaring inflation show £15 could have bought nearly seven pints 15 years ago compared to around three and a half now.
Back then the average beer cost £2.30 but it now stands at £4.21.
And it is not just drinkers crying into their beer over costs - motorists have been driven mad too.
In 2008, based on the average UK price at the time, you would get 14 litres of petrol for £15- however you would get around three quarters of that now with 10.8 litres.
