Stanway knows England can't moan if they suffer early exit

GEORGIA STANWAY admits England will deserve to go home early from Euro 2025 if they cannot get the result the team need against the Netherlands tomorrow.

Sarina Wiegman’s side lost 2-1 to France in their opening game at Stadion Letzigrund in Zurich on Saturday, and will return to the scene of the crime for their second Group D match.

Defeat would almost certainly spell the end of England’s defence of the crown while a draw would leave the team’s fate out of their hands.

Stanway said: "It’s reality. If we're not good enough on Wednesday then we don’t deserve to continue in the tournament."
