'One-in-one-out' migrant deported for second time

A SMALL boat migrant who came back to Britain after being deported under the “one in, one out” deal has been removed once again.

The Home Office yesterday confirmed the Iranian man was sent back to France for a second time.

He had first been deported in September under the pilot scheme but returned to the UK on October 18.

His second Channel crossing prompted accusations that the agreement was “descending into farce” and a “total abject failure”.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood said: “Anyone looking to return to the UK after being removed under the UK-France agreement is wasting their time and money. This individual was detected by biometrics and detained instantly. His case was expedited and now he has been removed again.

“My message is clear: if you try to return to the UK you will be sent back.
