ENGLISH OAK, as short as 8-1 for next month's July Cup after his victory at Royal Ascot on Friday, is unlikely to line up at Newmarket.
The four-year-old, trained by Ed Walker (below), gave the Emir of Qatar's ownership venture Wathnan Racing the third of its four victories at the meeting when galloping to a threelength success in the sevenfurlong Buckingham Palace Handicap.
