No one is safe from Russian drone attacks

RUSSIAN attacks on Ukraine broke a new record on Sunday, living up to the omen of the Blood Moon lunar eclipse witnessed later that night.

More than 800 drone and missiles descended on Kyiv and other cities, killing five, leaving dozens wounded and setting aflame homes, buildings and structures of every sort.

“The drones are now more dangerous than missiles,” said Ivan Kobrin, 28, a longtime capital resident.

Even Ukraine’s imposing Cabinet of Ministers building — in the city’s most protected quarter — was not spared. As dawn broke, a huge column of black smoke billowed from its roof. Part of the top floor lay in tatters.

The night started out much like any other these days.

A few drones reported hovering about on the outskirts of the capital, followed by larger swarms heralded by wailing air raid sirens.
