MP Siddiq blasts 'political smear' arrest warrant

FORMER City minister Tulip Siddiq branded allegations of corruption against her by Bangladeshi officials as a "politically motivated smear campaign", and added there was "no evidence that I've done anything wrong".
The country’s anti-corruption commission has sought an arrest warrant over claims that she illegally received a plot of land in the capital Dhaka, reports said.
This allegation is said to be separate from a probe into Ms Siddiq’s aunt, the deposed Bangladeshi PM Sheikh Hasina, regarding a nuclear power plant deal in which the Labour MP has also been named.
