'Judges not using common sense in immigration cases'

Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp, inset, said Parliament was being “circumvented” and “trumped” by the European Court of Human Rights.

And he claimed judges are not using enough “common sense” when it comes to immigration cases.

His comments follow a raft of controversial decisions including one where an Albanian criminal avoided deportation after saying his son didn’t like foreign chicken nuggets.
