'Judges fighting to keep illegal migrants in UK'

BRITAIN needs US-style appointed judges to restore confidence in the justice system, the Tory conference was told yesterday.

Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick claimed that activist judges “with links to open borders charities” are dishonouring “generations of independent jurists”.

He vowed to give the Lord Chancellor powers to appoint judges and reverse the “constitutional vandalism of Tony Blair and New Labour”.
