Jane Seymour: My Bond girl was a virgin, not a sex symbol

JANE Seymour says it was a joke for her Live And Let Die character Solitaire to be a sex symbol - as the Bond Girl was meant to be a virgin.
The Golden Globe winner also admitted her long hair was key to landing the spot with 007 Sir Roger Moore. But after the breakthrough film role she chose theatre jobs so she wouldn't be typecast for her looks.
Jane, 73, admitted that pretending to be American was also key to her making it big in Hollywood.

The veteran actress went on to reflect on how Bond was "probably the most important British export you can be a part of".
