Campaigner wins court bid
campaigner Maggie Oliver
CAMPAIGNERS have won their plea for a judicial review after claiming around half-a-million children are abused annually but successive governments have turned a blind eye.
They blasted Whitehall for not implementing some of the recommendations following an inquiry into child sexual exploitation.
The Maggie Oliver Foundation succeeded in its High Court bid against the Home Office over its alleged failure to adopt all of the 20 major reforms pushed by the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse.
Mr Justice Kimblin decided there should be a judicial review hearing to consider the issues brought by the foundation.
