Gambling addiction charity in cuts crisis

A CHARITY which helps people with gambling addiction says it will soon be forced to start turning people away due to a funding crisis.

Gordon Moody, which helps about 250 people a year, said a government overhaul of the gambling treatment system has left it "unsure where the next penny is coming from".

As the charity is losing its core funding by March next year, it expects to start rejecting people within weeks as it cannot commit to its 18-week treatment programmes.
