Boss peeling back layers to get to bottom of issue

MIKEL ARTETA says fixing Arsenal's goalscoring woes is like peeling back the layers of an onion.

But the Gunners manager hopes it does not end in tears for him against Crystal Palace today, after a run of one win in five.

Arsenal's title charge is crumbling around their ears and they are the lowest scorers in the top four.

Arteta said: "It is like an onion, the first layer, second layer...we have to go to the bottom of it to understand what is making us win or lose.

"It is the small details. We have to change that. As a coach, you think, 'Yeah do that and that's what will happen'... it's not that simple. We have to find something else to win."
