Anderson determined to help Lightning strike twice

JIMMY ANDERSON will attempt to roll back the years and lead Lancashire to T20 Blast Finals Day glory at Edgbaston today.

Anderson, 43, first took part in a Finals Day 21 years ago, but he will spearhead the Lightning’s bid to win the Blast for the first time in a decade.

Lancashire face last year’s finalists Somerset in the first semifinal in Birmingham with Northamptonshire taking on Hampshire in the second semifinal before the evening final.

Anderson said: “I’ve not been around as much as I'd have liked in the last 20 years. | owe Lancashire a huge amount.
