Family plea to track phone of missing doctor

THE family of a retired British doctor missing in the Pyrenees have pleaded for help accessing his Apple account in a bid to trace his last location.

Dad-of-four Tom Doherty messaged WhatsApp groups last Tuesday, saying he had fallen and could not move. He is understood to have been hiking and camping alone in Ariege, on France's border with Spain, when he was hit by bad weather."

One message picturing clouds approaching over a ridge was captioned "bugger" but Dr Doherty, 67, did not say where he was.

Clues

There has been no further word from the former tropical medicine consultant of St Albans.

His family think his Apple account may hold clues and even reveal where his phone last "pinged" its location.
