Family figured that Bergerac's back

DAMIEN Molony has said family and friends didn't need to play detective to know he was the new Jim Bergerac when he said he was off to Jersey.

The actor, 40, star of the smash-hit Eighties show's remake, admitted he had a big secret to keep.

He said: "When I was cast I wasn't allowed to tell anyone or even there was a re-imagined series in the works.

"People would ask me what I was doing for the summer holidays and I'd say, 'Well, I'm actually going to Jersey to do some work.'
