Chaos for fliers after wheels on plane fail

HOLIDAYMAKERS suffered cancelled flights when Birmingham Airport shut its runway and grounded all flights after a stricken small aircraft had to make an emergency landing.

Dramatic footage showed the dual-propellered plane’s wheels buckling on landing, before it skidded to a stop at the side of the runway.

The Beechcraft B200 Super King Air was headed to Belfast International Airport when it developed landing gear problems.
