Biden's 'garbage' blunder shocks Harris campaign

JOE Biden has been accused of sabotaging Kamala Harris's campaign to succeed him at the White House after he called rival Donald Trump's supporters "garbage".
The outgoing US President was reacting to comments at Trump's weekend rally in New York, where a comedian called Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage".
In a call organised by Hispanic advocacy group Voto Latino, Mr Biden said: "The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters."
Outburst
White House spokesman Andrew Bates said Mr Biden "referred to the hateful rhetoric at the Madison Square Garden rally as 'garbage"".
