PENSION-savers have been warned against splurging their 25% tax-free cash on holidays and home improvements, as it could leave them short in later life.

HAVE FUN But go easy on the spending
Many will have breathed a sigh of relief after Chancellor Rachel Reeves decided not to cap the amount of tax-free cash people can take from their pensions on retirement.
Pensioners can take 25% of their pot free of tax from age 55, up to a maximum of £268,275, with the remaining 75% subject to income tax.
