MITCHELL JOHNSON says alarm bells are "ringing loud and clear" for Australia after a double injury blow exposed cracks in their ageing squad.
Johnson, the fiery left-arm fast bowler who terrorised England Down Under in 2013/14, was not surprised the Aussies have been beset by fitness issues ahead of Friday's first Test in Perth.
They have lost captain Pat Cummins, inform seamer Josh Hazlewood and backup bowler Sean Abbott through injury.
