Areola looking for Hammers to lay down

ALPHONSE AREOLA wants West Ham to use Sunday’s win at Old Trafford as a springboard for next season.

The Hammers’ keeper kept a clean sheet against Manchester United on a day when goals from Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen sealed a 2-0 win that lifted the visitors above their hosts in the table. They now entertain Nottingham Forest and travel to Ipswich, knowing that two wins will see them finish above United and Tottenham at the end of the season.

And the 32-year-old Frenchman wants to secure six points as the building blocks for the future.
