Agent haunted by JFK slaying

HIS NAME may not ring too many bells but there is famous footage of him that no one of a certain age will ever forget.

For Clint Hill was the Secret Service agent who leapt onto the back of John F Kennedy’s limousine after the then-president was shot.

He grabbed a handle on the motorcade’s presidential car and hauled himself onto the back of it as the driver sped off.

He then forced Jackie Kennedy, who had crawled onto the trunk, back into her seat.

The footage of Hill, captured on Abraham Zapruder’s home movie of the assassination that shook the world, provided some of the most unforgettable images of Kennedy’s assassination in Dallas on November 22, 1963.
