Adam Peaty sporting gash after scrap with fellow GB medallist

OLYMPIC gold medal swimmer Adam Peaty looked worse for wear with a cut above his left eye after a bruising punch-up with a GB teammate.

The three-times Games champion picked up the injury in an incident with Luke Greenbank, 25, in a recent training session.

They reportedly fought after Peaty slapped Greenbank playfully on the bottom at a training camp in Loughborough and made a remark about Greenbank's girlfriend of two years, Anna Hopkin.

Peaty, 28, and Hopkin, 27, were part of the GB team who won 4x100m mixed medley relay gold at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, while he and Greenbank helped GB to silver in the 4x100m medley.

Stitches

Peaty, awarded an OBE last year, did not require stitches for the gash.

Sources close to him have insisted that he and Greenbank still train together daily, adding: "It was heated moment after a training session between two teammates.
