2m to have dementia in 24 years

DEMENTIA cases will nearly double in the next 24 years, A REPORT claims.

There will be two million people with the degenerative brain disease in the UK by 2050 on current trends, according to the Alzheimer Europe report.

This is up from 1.2 million last year, and higher than previous estimates of 1.6 million by the middle of the century.
