120mph driver jailed for first-date smash that left seven cops injured

A MAN who left seven police officers injured following a motorway crash at 120mph as he tried to avoid arrest has been sentenced to 14 months in a young offender institution.
Iranian-born Mazyar Azarbonyad, 20, was on a first date with Courtney Redfern in his high-powered BMW SUV when he tried to evade a police patrol car.
The fitness trainer was taking Ms Redfern, 27, home in the early hours of April 9, when police spotted a defective rear light on his vehicle as he drove through Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.
After initially stopping his car he then exclaimed "Nah" as an officer approached on foot and sped off.
