Hundreds of homes are left without water after pipe bursts

HUNDREDS of homes in south London experienced low water pressure following a major pipe burst on Monday morning (July 7).

Thames Water said it worked 'as fast as possible' to make repairs to restore water on Tuesday, according to a statement.

A massive leak on Commonside East, close to Mitcham Common, caused a strain on the Croydon network and saw houses in CRO, CR2, CR4, CR7 and SW16 left dry. Mitcham was also heavily affected by flooding, with deep pools seen around the park and towards Pollards Hill.
