Accommodation plans for NHS staff are refused

A DEVELOPMENT involving provision for NHS staff near Nantwich was refused.

The application was put forward by Dr Micheline Tremblay on land near Dorfold Cottage on Wrexham Road, Acton.

Dr Trembley told planning officers at Cheshire East Council she was proposing a host residence and two lodges on a site to be let to NHS locum and relief staff.

Permission was refused and she appealed.

The site visit was undertaken and a recommendation made by appeal planning officer T Morris with the decision being taken by inspector A Spencer-Peet.

The main issues were whether the proposed development would be in a suitable location for housing having regard to the accessibility of services and facilities and the effect on the character and appearance of the area, according to the officer.
