Residents calling for action on roads over 'excessive speeding'

RESIDENTS in Coventry are calling for traffic calming measures amid “ongoing concerns about the danger posed by excessive speeding,” which “continues to put lives at risk”.
An online petition launched on Coventry City Council’s online portal is requesting action be taken on Hollyfast Lane, Pikers Lane and Wall Hill Road.
The petition is calling for a 30mph speed limit and speed bumps, saying the “current conditions are simply not safe”.
It comes a few weeks after a horse and its rider was hit and injured by a car on Wall Hill Road.
