Final plan revealed for new housing development

A DETAILED layout reveals the final plan for a controversial new Bedworth housing estate.

The proposed 150 home development on land off Woodland Lane has been at the centre of controversy locally.

Despite initially refusing the application for 150 homes on land off Woodland Lane, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council decided not to defend its decision when the refusal was taken to appeal.

So an independent inspector overruled the council’s decision and outline planning permission was given for the proposal to demolish the existing Woodlands Farmhouse and agricultural buildings and to build up to 150 residential dwellings.
