Residents frustrated by lack of enforcement action

A GARAGE, office and swimming pool built without planning permission have yet to be removed despite an enforcement notice being served by Cornwall Council.

The facilities were built alongside a property called The Ranch on a hill above Mawgan Porth, one of Cornwall’s most desirable locations.
The area has been dubbed Hollywood-on-Sea because of the number of celebrities with homes there.
A planning battle has been going on for five years after the property's owner, Dean Robson, built the structures in 2020.
Two attempts were made in 2021 and 2022 to obtain retrospective permission to retain the garage/ office building and outdoor pool; the council rejected both, and an appeal to the Government’s Planning Inspectorate was dismissed.
