Improved interceptor capacity helps tackle water pollution challenge

Waste interceptors are proving their worth in ridding the Kleinvlei canal of rubbish.
A first interceptor was installed in the 2024/25 financial year. In October 2025, this interceptor was upgraded to improve capacity, while an additional one was installed further upstream. Regular clean up operations are also held.
