Town's great green giveaway

CAMPAIGNERS in Cardigan are taking part in the UK-wide Great Big Green Week this month, to highlight the need for urgent action on climate and nature.

Taking place until June 15, the week is Britain's largest celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature.

Thousands of local festivals and events under the theme of “let's swap together for good” are taking place during the first half of June.

In Cardigan, XR Aberteifi (Extinction Rebellion) will be running an information stall and plant giveaway between 11am and 1pm today on the steps of the Guildhall.

Organisers say everyone is welcome to come along for a relaxed, feelgood morning of plant giveaways and good conversation. It follows a similar event last year, which proved popular.
