Youth urged to stay focused on edu

PHALAPHALA programme manager Sharon Ravele has called on young people to avoid distractions that could jeopardise their education and future success.

Delivering a Youth Month message, Ravele said the dream of economic freedom would remain out of reach unless the youth tackled challenges such as alcohol and substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, laziness and what she termed “the demon of easy come”. “What you simply have to understand is that you are not the generation of 1976. You are a unique generation; most of you were born after our freedom and democracy. With this, you have your own unique set of challenges,” she said.
