Telangana invites Taiwanese investment in textile sector : Minister Sridhar Babu

Telangana Industries and IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Friday extended a warm invitation to Taiwanese industrialists to invest in the state's booming textile sector, urging them to become stakeholders in the journey of a “Rising Telangana.”

The Minister held a high-level meeting at the Dr B R Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat with a Taiwanese textile delegation led by Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) President Justin Huang, comprising 11 members. He highlighted Telangana’s rapid progress in the sector and the competitive advantages it offers over other Indian states.
“Within a short span, Telangana has made significant strides in the textile sector, positioning itself on par with other leading states. The Gross State Value Added (GSVA) from industries for 2024-25 stands at Rs 2.77 lakh crore, with textiles playing a key role,” Sridhar Babu said. He also noted Telangana’s production of high-quality cotton.
