ST Welfare Ministry Should Be Handed to a Tribal MLA - BJP ST Morcha Leader

BJP ST Morcha State General Secretary Kotha Surender has strongly criticised the Telangana state government for sidelining tribal representation in the state cabinet, despite the tribal population in the state nearing 70 lakh.

He alleged that the Congress-led state government has failed to demonstrate sincerity toward tribal welfare by appointing a non-tribal MLA as the Minister for Tribal Welfare. “When it comes to other communities, the Congress government is ensuring that ministers handling welfare portfolios belong to the respective communities. However, when it comes to tribal welfare, they have appointed someone from another caste," Surender said.High
